“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
― Albert Camus
Sitting in English 101 on the fifth day of 2015 I can't help but think over this past year and more recently, my winter break. I personally think that school "breaks" are completely arbitrary and only lead to idle time which is a waste of youth and vitality. If given the option I would prefer to take classes on the weekends as well. Putting myself at risk for sounding like an annoying aphorist I really do believe that "absence makes the heart grow fonder". Whether this notion is directed towards my family, that I may only see against the glow of a freshly lit christmas fire or the beautiful monolithic glass walls that encase the nursing school I attend. Sitting in class now there isn't a doubt in my mind that there is no place I would rather be in this moment. The etheral glow from this ENG101 laptop is almost...Angelic. I have missed being in class. Learning something new. So, the question asked was : "Winter Break : Angelic or Archaic?"
My answer is : BOTH. lol ^_^
Happy New Year
